This panel is in the sandstone on the Sand Crack trail in the Vermillion Cliffs Wilderness. Personally I find it interesting because of the tilted landmass glyph in the left quadrent (tilts similarly as the monocline just west of this location)and shows a trench (Grand Canyon, perhaps) The two figurines which seem to me to represent some kind of spiritual maturity. The small one arm glyph before entering the crack and below the crack a bigger fellow (fully developed). The big long crack with the vortex (the vortex could be some shomanistic representation of a transformational journey) and the crack itself which could represent the Grand Canyon which is due south of this location. The panel is, for me, the simplest and most dynamic of all representations of the human experience that I have seen in the four corners region.
